Week 21 | Ntinda, Uganda

crazy huge horns on a cow. the cows here are strange... they are like horse cows. Huge legs like a horse. haha
Meet "Elder" ebaju. The brach president of Ntinda. We are super close and I love the guy. Haha I call him a Do Do and he calls me a Goondie
this is how the women carry their babies around. Usually they tie a rag around their chest and under the baby and walk around and work all day while the baby hangs around
I found Dr. Pepper!!!
It is super expensive, but I had to buy it in memory of dad's and mine addiction at home!
Meet Deborah, Carrol, Rachel, and Julious. They were Baptized by Kadama Andrew. I member of the Ntinda Branch.
They are a powerful Family, and I love them so much!
Average day in Uganda. Burning trash along the rail way.

This week has been Powerful! I will cut right to the good stuff. We have been preparing this family for baptism for over a month now, and despite the trials and complications we baptized them yesterday at church! A family of 4! Deborah, Carrol, Rachel, and Julious. It was so amazing to watch each of them enter into the Waters of baptism and make that sacred covenant with the Lord. Days like yesterday make missions worth it. If I worked for 2 full years and just baptized this family I would be perfectly content and happy. The Lord is blessing the Ntinda Branch. We have been breaking records in Attendance as well! reaching over 120 consistently for 5 weeks now. The church can't even fit everyone! haha it is wonderful!

Also something crazy happened this week. A companion ship of sisters in my District have been having complications. These "complications" escalated to such an extent that I have to go with them to see the mission President. We figured that the best solution would be to do an Emergency Transfer. So I now have a new sister in my District. Things have now become a lot better. The Mission President is new and he is amazing. He is an extremely Funny man, but so powerful. When he talks you can feel his words piece your soul and shake your frame. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. President Chatfield and Sister Chatfield are the most humble, down the earth people you will ever meet!

I can't believe I am approaching 6 month on my mission and even Sister Kupfer is now 3 months! Time is flying like nothing!! I honestly can't even believe it! I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! I said the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish on the 4th. What is more american than that?

I love my mission. I feel at home with my people and already am sad that I am losing time with them. I love my Father in Heaven and have a personally testimony of him and his Son. They are there and hear and answer every prayer.

Elder Halladay
