My long lost MTC brother Elder Harper has been with us for a week because of visa problems. He's been up in ethiopia.
We had 4 baptisms this week! Juliet, Joyce, Brenda, and Movian baptized by their father Livingston! The Johnson's live in our complex and I love them. They always cook for us and are just awesome!
A little boy that had Elder Harper's scriptures on his shoulder.
This week was awesome! We found 24 new investigators, which usually we find 10, and we found some really awesome families so that whoever stays this next transfer will have a legit teaching pool! We met a family this week and turns out the father is the son the one of the ugandian Clan's, and he is a very very kind man in high position. He invited us in and sat us on his couch and went out and shined our shoes and sent his son to get us soda's and cake! and then tried to give us money to taxi home!!! What an awesome family this is!
I don't know what will happen with this next transfer, but wherever the Lord takes me I will try to do my best!
this Sunday we had 4 baptisms! Juliet, Joyce, Brenda, and Movian. Their father is a member and their mother passed away. Juliet is the oldest daughter and she has 3 kids and is separated. She is a powerful women! She learned the lessons so fast and testified that she feels a responsibility to help the family grow in the gospel! What a powerful family. the father, Livingston, is so so shy and the sweetest old man you can ever meet! He was so happy to baptize his whole family. It was a wonderful day!
Other than that, everything is pretty much the same. We are working hard, having the time of our lives, and I am loving my mission!
Oh and today I am officially 6 months! haha that is super crazy, the time moves insanely fast! I just hope that 25% of my mission hasn't gone to waist or could've been better. I only get one opportunity to do the work I am doing now and I want to do my best to ensure that I give it my all and that I am pleasing the Lord.
I love you all and am so thankful for everything you do for me. I know that there are many people outside of my family who pray for me and I am so thankful and testify that those prayers are felt and needed. I love my father in heaven and Love learning so much about him and seeing him work through us as missionaries. There is no doubt in my mind that this Gospel is true and that this is the One and Only true Church of Jesus Christ.
Elder Halladay
