week 11: mpumudde, uganda

This week has been busy, yet awesome. Walter, the first person I baptized here, worked with us this week. I can not even begin to express how amazing it feels to hear someone you baptized testify of the Restoration. When I was listening to him bear his heartfelt testimony I was overwhelmed by the spirit and got to literally be a part of the outcome of missionary work. Walter is preparing to serve a mission and holds the Aaronic priesthood. He is an awesome young man and I love the kid. He is helping us teach and prepare his siblings for baptism.
Yesterday we baptized Sheran. She is 21 and has a 5 year old little boy named Derrick. she lives with her mother and sister and brother. She is definitely elect. she came to church for 3 weeks before we even met her! Her baptism was awesome and she will be one of those members to stay faithful in the church. We are also preparing her sister Olivious and brother, Earnesmas for baptism.

The work here is amazing and I truly enjoy being a missionary. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. I know that the church I am in today is the Exact same church that Jesus Christ established while he was on the earth. I know that The same priesthood power that Jesus gave to the 12 apostles in the same power and authority that exists today in the church. I know that There is "one Lord, one faith, and one baptism" and that is in Christ church, and I am so grateful to be a part of the rolling stone cut out of the mountains without hands. I know that missionary work will soon reach all the earth and that the second coming of Christ is soon. I hope we will all be able to look to Jesus with a smile on our face and love in our hearts and not one full of guilt and shame. I love you all so much.
