week 10: mpumudde, uganda

I don't have much time today and I appologize, but this is what happened this week:

On Tuesday elders from Bugembe came to Mpumudde on splits. The work was good and I was able to visit all our investigators with a baptismal date, and it was a good experience being able to work with someone new. My companion for the day is very old on the mission. He goes home in 3 months. He didn't talk very much as we were walking and even in the lessons. So basically we walked in silence and I taught the lessons. It still was a very good day! the ZL's stayed at our house the night before. Also that night I came across a drunk man named stephan would was falling over as he was walking. I felt prompted to escort him home... So we took this man home and I held him up all the way to his home. This guy couldn't even walk! And I feel that if we didn't help him home he would've passed out in the streets. The whole time he was telling me he loved me and would mumble... I basically threw him into his bed and took his shoes off for him and then I left a word of wisdom pamphlet with our number next to him in bed... haha it was a funny experience.

I went to Bugembe on splits the next day and was with the same companion as I was in my area. This area was so beautiful! It was on a hillside and you could see Lake Victoria from it. The missionary appartment is so nice as well! My companion was talking in the lessons this time, and a little while we were walking. I met lots of new and awesome people, but at the end of the day I missed Mpumudde and all of my investigators. I really and starting to love them and develope great relationships with them!

The highlight of the week would have to be the wedding on saturday. So the wedding took place for the other missionaries in the district, but as DL I did all the organizing for it. like the cake, rings, dress, transportation, location, and other things. It was very stressful and It was a lot of responsibility, but it turned out to be awesome and most importantly Ronald and Sara loved it! They were baptized yesterday as well. It was an awesome day. I love Sundays so much! Especially yesterday there was something that just made me smile even more than usual! I know it was because the spirit was so strong. We have 9 of our recent investigators come to church as well! We are teaching 3 families who are super powerful! They are learning so quickly and I can tell they are more than ready for the gospel!

I apologize for the short email this week, but the internet is very slow and I am running out of time! I love you all and thank you for the support!

ps I have lost like 15 pounds! my shirts and pants are super loose! haha!
