What a week!!!
The highlight was definitely yesterday... Elly, Sarah, Timothy, and Shina were baptized!!! This is my family! I honestly love them so much and will be a part of them forever. Elly and Sarah are a wonderful couple and parents! Honestly they have taugh me so much. About how to truly love one another even in the worst of situations. They have lost 2 children in their life and Sarah's health is on the point of being critical due to some diseases... Usually the husband would leave the wife in these situations, but Elly said I married her to love her and care for her in sickness and Health and I will be with her always... One of there sons is Hosea. Hosea has been a member for 8 months and is the Brach clerk preparing to go on mission and works with us all the time. He was so afraid to be teaching his family and funny enough one day I took him with me on splits and he asked where we were going and I said,"we are going to teach your family". He looked as though he had seen a ghost. He was so nervous, but did so well. From the first lesson to the last they have developed the strongest testimony I have ever heard... This is the most ELECT family I have taught and I was humbled to be a part of their conversion. On sunday Hosea baptized his Father, mother, brother, and sister... I gave a talk before the baptisms and looked down at this family dressed in white and was so touched by the spirit I couldn't even speak for a few moments... To look at Hosea and see his as a worthy priesthood holder about to baptize his family touched my heart in a way that caused my soul to inflame. As they filed in one by one and were baptized by their son and brother it was the most spiritual feeling and experience I have ever witnessed... Especially when his mother came into the font... they were both in tears as well as I, and Hosea was shaking. I cannot express in words the power that was felt by these covenants to the Lord... And after Baptism to hear the father of this family declare to the Branch his testimony and the example of his son, was honestly mesmerizing... wow... This family will be strong in this church for all the eternities. there is no doubt in that statement. I love this family. I love this work. and I love the Lord.
This Church is true. This is the Church of Jesus Christ. His only true church upon the whole Earth. I have a testimony of that. It grows stronger and solidifies every day and no one can take that from me.
Elder Halladay
