Week 29 | Ntinda, Uganda

As a District We had 4 Baptisms this Sunday! I baptized Jonathan and Amelia. (the older women, and the kid with this family.) The other young boy and young(Broyln, and sherron) were baptized by their father/grandfather.
The work here is BOOMING!!!
Golfing in Uganda. Seriously this was so much fun! I know that Grandpa Halladay must be jealous!

(Bits and pieces from our personal emails from Elder Halladay. xoxo -Alex)

(To Logan) I am gaining weight man. Slowly, but it is coming. I do 100 push ups every night and morning. Totally went golfing in Ugandia today. super legit! played decent as well. things are great.

(To Alex) I don't know what will happen this week? transfer news is tomorrow night? Either me or my son must go? and to where as what? haha who cares really. I really love this place though. I love the city! I love the people and don't want to leave!

(To Dad) The week has been really good. It is the last week of the transfer. I wonder what will happen to me now? They will let us know tomorrow. This morning I went golfing here in The city! wow it was so much fun and I actually played really well. The course was nice. we had to abide by the dress code and use catties and the whole deal. I shot 3 pars! and I hit somehow straight. I am practicing so I can beat you when I get back. It was really expensive though... I didn't realize how much it would be... I spent 100 USD... It was a one time thing, but worth it. Take pictures of everything! you'd be surprised the things I want to see. Your truck. The landscape, everything! I miss hunting, especially when I know the Hunts are going on! but we will have fun when I am home. did you know joseph smith was the navuoo mayor at the time he was thrown in jail? and that the anti-mormons printed a bad article called the navuoo exposition about mormons and Joseph smith. So he ordered the marshal to destroy all the newspapers and the marshal destroyed a lot of things he wasn't supposed to. that is what got Joseph smith thrown into jail at carthaige. Church history.... Love you dad

(To Mom) Wow that was a super cool story. {He was responding to a missionary she had!} You can know for sure that the Lord's hand was in it! That is so legit. Good job mom. It will be nice someday to put a face to these names. I am sure that I will be meeting all of these people soon. Dad said the ward is changing a lot. People leaving and new ones coming in. That is good though. How is the calling coming? have you and dad been out working with the missionaries yet? man I can't believe this transfer is over. My son is about to be on his own. I hope I trained his good enough... I guess we will see.. Ntinda in the past 4 months has had more baptisms  than the previous year combine!! The work here has been awesome. I know this place so well and the future here continues to look promising. They just need to have missionaries willing to work hard! I don't want to leave this place, but it seems as though it is my time. I will find out tomorrow night. it is raining here right now. I totally went golfing in Uganda today! best time ever. I went with my son, Elder Johnson, and Hansen. (senior couples). It was legit and worth the money. Hope all is well at home. Love ya!

PS tell everyone hello for me
