Week 45 | Gulu, Uganda

Wow what an awesome week! My son Elder Phiri and I met a family from
Sudan and when We walked into their compound about 100 people
surrounded us and took us in their HUGE house and brought us soda's...
Well as we were talking to them, they all come from a father who has
43 wives!!!!! 43!!!! can you believe that. He has over 200 Children!!!
Super nice family and we enjoyed our time with them and will continue
to teach some of the kids! Also We met a Born-again pastor this week
and after a lot of scheduling, we finally got an appointment with him.
He said he can spare about 20 minutes.... immediately he started to
ask questions... probable like 50... He asked about how the church was
organized and where it started... We taught him a very indepth
restoration focusing on the organization of the primative church.
about the rock of the church was revelation, and the prophets and
apostles led the chruch through revelation and had the athourity to do
so. we talked about the Area of 70 and the Bishops and leaders called
in the cities as the disciples were following the commandment to
preach the gospel to all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Lord. We led right into the apostasy and the the resoration, and the
orgination, authority and revelation(keys) that were restored. We read
many prophecies from the old and new testimate, and even from Jesus
Christ himself talking of the restoration... Wow the spirit was so
vibrant and stron and we watched as the spirit worked on Pastor
Jackson! His entire attitude changed, and he had tears in his eyes...
We introduced the book of mormon, and after hearing what he believes
in an is teaching to his members in kenya, sudan, uganda, and rwanda,
about the "rock of the Savior," we felt impressed to  read verses in
Helaman ch 5 about building your foundation on christ, and he
immediately fell inlove with the book and asked for a copy... We left
that meeting that didn't last 20 minutes, but 2 and a half hours, with
a new friend and a Stronger testimony of the church and the power of
the Holy Spirit... The more I learn about the church and the
restoration and scriptures, the brighter the colors of the world seem
to be and the easier it is for me to see what is truly important in
this life. Even thing i learned in History class throughout school
finally make sense from the Scriptures, namely, the book of mormon and
the bible.... I cannot deny the authenticity of this restored Gospel
and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There is no
possible way this is not true. and If you don't know for yourself it
is simple that you need to advance your knowledge. Faith is a
principle of action, and your faith will not grow without an increase
of knowledge. like in ether 12 and alma 34 Faith is aquired for
experimenting your knowledge and small believe and continuing to study
and seek understanding, and that is when God will bless you with
knowledge and you faith will grow. Please learn this principle now. I
know that God lives and Jesus is the Christ and the Promised Mossiah!
The Scattered Tribes are being Gathered, come and join us and see for
yourself if what over 15 million have testified is true. You will come
to know as firm as I do, That God leads this church and no man.
