This
week I was studying in the Book of Revelations. Many people think that
book is too complex and that we shouldn't waste our time reading it, but
I would disagree. The Lord would not reveal scripture to us that wasn't
meant to be read... We also know that there is more scripture that will
be revealed, but we are not yet ready. Every Christian should study the
Book of Revelation as well as the Standard Works. Compassed with the
Book of Mormon and Modern Day revelation We can understand more of the
plain and Precious truths that others outside of the Church cannot.
(That is 1 or millions of reasons to investigate the Church)
I was particularly interested in 1 verse I read... Revelations Chapter
12:11.
This
chapter talks about the war in Heaven in the beginning when Satan was
cast out and how john sees the continuation of that war on earth...
In Verse 11 is says
"And they overcame him by the blood
of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not
their lives unto the death"
This very clearly tells us how we
defeated Satan in the Pre-existence. It was by 1The blood of the Lamb
and 2the word of their testimony.
Now if God tells us the weapons we used to defeat Satan before Do
you think it would change here with the "continuation of the war on
earth"?
NO IT WOULD NOT!!!
We beat him once and we are
here now fighting another War to see if we will beat him again. He is
here trying to Recruit still for the Second War that we will have. Those
who stay on the Lords side and accept his gospel will be with Michael
the Archangel and those who weren't able to put of the "natural man"
will be with Satan...
How pitiful is Satan? Anyone who has tasted of the Glory of God
and Felt the Cleansing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and Come
to the Knowledge of this Gospel knows that Satan and his Army, that was
cast down from heaven and the many that he managed to recruit while
their time on earth, will loose and be "cast away into their own place,
and they shall not have power over the SAINTS any more at all."
Now the real question is how do we fight against Satan today?
Well in the Book of Revelations it couldn't have been revealed in a more plain and simple manner!
1We
have to overcome him by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB. In other words we have
to use the Atonement in our Lives. We have to Be baptized to become a
"fellow citizen with the Saints and of the household of God", We have to
repent every single day and prepare for the Ordinance of the Sacrament
preformed by a Priesthood holder in The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. Remember the words of the Lord in Helaman Chapter 5
from Verses 10-12
"for he said unto him that the Lord surely should come the redeem
his people, but that he should not come to redeem them IN THEIR SINS,
BUT TO REDEEM THEM FROM THEIR SINS.
And he hath power given
unto him from the Father to redeem them from their sins because of
REPENTANCE(or the Blood of the Lamb); therefore he hath sent his angels
to declare the tidings of the conditions of REPENTANCE which bringeth
unto the power of the Redeemer, unto the salvation of their souls.
And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of
our Redeemer, who is CHrist, the Son of God, that ye must build your
foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea,
his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm
shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down
to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye
are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build
they cannot fall."
2 "The word of their Testimonies"
This comes from the
Knowledge that you receive and the strength that you receive from
following God's council. Well he communicates with us today! We had
those "angels that declare the tidings of the conditions of Repentance"
and they are the Prophets! From the Bible the Book of Mormon and Modern
Day prophets.
I testify that anyone who would like to fight off Satan and join
the army of God and claim victory over the Son of the Morning, they Must
join Him Church and Use the Blood of the Lamb and Strengthen your
Testimony. If you do not I fear that Satan will take hold of you like he
has Millions and you will find yourself fighting against Michael.
God teaches us Simply and Plainly. Now is the Time to Prepare.
Prepare your families and yourselves so that when Satan comes with his
armies tomorrow and at the Last day, you will Defeat him yet again.
I
know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's Church.
He speaks to us and guides us like he has done from the foundation of
the world and anyone who wants to join the ranks and Taste of the Glory
of the Father and feel the Power of the Atonement in your life. Come and
Join us.
I testify of these precious truths and declare before God and you
all that what I have said is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
